Inspired by the emblematic and influential text “The Truth in Painting” by French Philosopher Jacques Derrida, the curatorial concept of the exhibition is structured as a provocation to reflect on the different meanings an image can contain depending on the conceptual or physical framework applied to it.

The curatorial approach for the installation emphasizes the role of these frameworks, visual and intellectual, while allowing painting to expand spatially breaking down the two dimensional or three dimensional parameters of each of the pictures.

In these recent works, Alfredo Gisholt explores the aesthetic possibilities of the small format. This exhibition reflects on how the perception and potential of the visual and intellectual framework affects the object or image.
Conceived as a sensory provocation for the viewer whilst instigating a dialogue between two distinct frameworks, the exhibition presents the work of an artist, because of his emotive and pictorial rigor, that transcends all aesthetic frameworks in its interpretation.
