Art Residency Program

With the interest of expanding the practices related to contemporary Art, Forma Curated offers Art Residences for projects based on investigation and creative experimentation in which artists are encouraged to reflect on and go beyond the limits of their work by providing the artist a new physical surrounding and canvas to stimulate their creative energy. Upon completion of the residency, a curated exhibition will be offered.

During the Spring of 2018, philosopher and artist, Ignacio Rodriguez Bach (Mexico,  I. R. Bach) worked on a series of paintings that were later selected by Los Angeles County Museum (LACMA) to be a part of the project-exhibition “I want to know”.
Following Bach’s residency, Forma Curated invited multidisciplinary artist Ernesto Leon with the aim to provide reflections on what “la morada” has meant throughout this pandemic, to be an Artist in Residence, and to explore this theme using the cardboard boxes he accumulated since the beginning of the shelter in place order which contained the products he purchased online, expanding its gatherings to different origins. These art works created during lockdown will be exhibited beginning November 18th.
Forma Curated, is interested in expanding it’s residency program and invites artists of all mediums and genres to apply through our website.
