I. R. Bach Residence
For LACMA exhibition
In 2016, I.R. Bach received the Art + Technology award from Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) to develop his project I want to know, based on a mysterious light phenomenon that the artist encountered while camping in a Mexican mountain range.

During his residency at Forma110, the artist will elaborate a series of oil paintings. Lunar structures series explores, the play between light and shadow that forms as satellite photography of the moon reaches its technological limits. Together with other photography, video and mixed series that conform Bach’s I want to know project.

This residency promotes activities that provoke experiential connections with art so the public will be able to witness the artist’s creative process and learn about the project’s philosophical propositions.
LACMA’s ART + TECHNOLOGY Lab is supported by Hyundai, NASA JPL, Google, Space X and Accenture
